We are going to help out our neighbors at the campsite next door and sort out repairs to the entrance way and their post box

Arise Youth will be cleaning up rubbish along the rocks beside Portsmouth Drive - getting hands-on to look after our local environment and give back to the community. Meeting at the "Harbour Mouth Molars" car park.

We are going to be painting planter boxes, goal post and potentially freshen up the large chess and checkers board in the play ground.

This project is for a local clinic that supports women experiencing unexpected pregnancy, pregnancy loss and post-abortion care. They'd love help refreshing their space so it feels warmer, more peaceful and welcoming for the women who visit. We will be applying frosted window film to the windows, installing curtain rods and drapery, and making cosmetic changes to the space to give it a fresh lift. Experience with interior design work and remodelling is valued!

He Huarahi Tamariki provides a second chance education for students unable to complete their formal secondary education due to pregnancy or the birth of a child. We will be spring-cleaning the school vans (for students being transported to school) and planting a hedge along the motorway boundary to help reduce noise, beautify the grounds and stabilise a sloped area where damaged trees were recently removed.

Help us build and prepare community food pantries that will provide accessible food support to local whānau experiencing need. The team will construct and finish four pātaka kai to be installed within local neighbourhoods. These pantries will create a practical way for community members, churches and local organisations to donate non-perishable food, while allowing individuals and families to take what they need with dignity. IMPORTANT: This is a skilled building project, and spaces are limited to volunteers who have previous building, construction or carpentry experience. Participants will need to be confident using standard building tools and working safely as part of a practical team.

Help us give this local school’s outdoor spaces a refresh! Our team will be working across several small garden areas, helping to tidy garden beds and move and spread bark where needed. It’s a simple, hands-on project that will make a noticeable difference to the school grounds and create a tidier, more welcoming environment for students, staff and whānau.

This project is on SUNDAY 20th SEPT. Help us bring warmth and practical support to people in our community who are struggling through the colder months. For this project, we’re collecting new or good-quality blankets to donate to The Salvation Army, who will distribute them to individuals and whānau experiencing hardship and in need of extra warmth. Bring these to the Arise Care table on SUNDAY 20th September.

Join one of the three teams doing cleaning and gardening at three different families from the Women's Refuge who now live in their own homes. Help refresh, and make these places a safe and welcoming place to call home. We will also be sowing little sunflower 🌻 beds for them.
