PROJECTS
CLEAR ALL
Hutt Valley, Wellington - Hutt & City

LEADER Dianne & Tim Raynes DESCRIPTION

Pomare School need help sorting through resources. "We have some resources that need sorting and rehoming as things are changing in the school again and the current resource room is going to be demolished at the end of 2026. We would need people who are able to look at resources and (with guidance) make some decisions about their usefulness. Some will need to be reorganised into boxes, while others will be discarded. If you had any builders who were able to look at rejigging our old dental clinic so it can be used effectively to store resources, that could be helpful, along with adjusting shelving and sorting where things can be stored."

If you have a green thumb, enjoy landscaping, and are good on the tools...🔨🌱🌟 This is the project for you!! We will be doing some gardening around the school, refreshing the playground bark, and completing other work around the school. This is a great time to plant seeds of joy and hope and a time to share God's love and kindness. We are putting our faith in action to bless our communities and bring God's light into new environments. All are welcome!! Hope to see you there 🌱☀️ 🔨 Praying for sunny weather but if it ends up raining, then we will move our project inside and do some cleaning around the school hall where we run a breakfast club on Wednesdays. ☁️☁️☁️

LEADER Chloe Letoa DESCRIPTION

Help us bring some fresh life and colour to the outdoor space of a local Women’s Refuge. Our team will be giving an existing garden bed some much-needed TLC, preparing the area and planting a selection of herbs and flowers to create a warmer, more welcoming environment for the women, whānau and staff who use the space. This is a simple, hands-on gardening project with the opportunity to make a beautiful and lasting difference for an organisation doing incredibly important work in our community. Please note: Due to the nature of Women’s Refuge services, this project may need to be adjusted at short notice to ensure the safety and privacy of those they support.

As part of our upcoming Serve Day, we’re looking for some home baking to bless the residents at Aroha rest home where we already have the privilege of holding regular church services. We’ve built some great relationships with the residents and nurses through our services, and we’d love to take the opportunity to bless them in a practical and personal way. If you’re able to contribute some homemade baking — muffins, biscuits, slices, cakes, or other treats. You can bring your baking along to the Arise Care Table in the foyer on Sunday 20th September, It’s a simple way for us as a church family to bless and brighten someone’s day. Thank you for helping us make this special for the residents! 🙏 Baking drop-off: 10am, Sunday 20th September Where: Arise Centre, 3 Pito-One Road Let’s get baking! 🍪🧁❤️

Rowley School is one of our breakfast club schools. They would love some help with revarnishing seats and gardening! Having these areas all tidied up means that the school looks clean and tidy for spring and allows our caretakers to focus on other maintenance projects around the school. Providing a welcoming environment for students and teachers alike!
